Mistrustful of and perhaps mistrusted by humans, Rosgwaen Mistradion learns more of the Common Speech-- this time from Linnelei.

Voices Carry (IC)
In a cold and bitter autumn wind, Sidthoniel speaks her (surprisingly positive) mind about Rosgwaen Mistradion's quest for the herb, and Mistradion comes to accept his position as leader of the party-- and, very quietly, confides in his once-rival Sidthoniel.

Rosgwaen Mistradion speaks of his recent encounter with Menelyth to an objective Methenauth.

Of Pride (IC)

For What is Not Lost (IC)
Menelyth, recently returned from Lorien, meets Rosgwaen (a.k.a. Mistradion) upon the road. Much of Rosgwaen is revealed in the confrontation that follows, and much of Menelyth as well: his deep secrets and his unyielding loyalties, her compassion and desire to understand.

Linnelei Meets Rosgwaen (IC)
Linnelei, looking for a camp in the forests of the Shire, is not alone for long. Something dour this way comes. And it's got a lot to say about rare herbs and mast trees.

A Jeweller of Laketown (IC)
Not much happens on Long Lake when it rains. Tatharwen discovers this fact, and so does a Barding jewel trader. When Fealos arrives, however, the trader gets a chance to deal in elven gems.

Stolen Tidbits (IC)
An impromptu picnic takes place with 'filched' tidbits brought by Aglarien to share with her many times great grandmother, Sidthoniel. Pelicans amuse them with their antics while a decision is reached.

A Chance-Meeting in the Garden (IC)
Ivonaweth arrives at a little-visited patch of Mithlond's gardens to play her harp as Rosgwaen says his farewells to the nearby pines. Soon, Sidthoniel arrives, and the three converse. Will Sidthoniel join Rosgwaen on his journey from Mithlond, or has traveling with him proved simply too dangerous?

The View from the Cliff (IC)
Sidthoniel emerges from a tent upon the cliff overlooking Mithlond to find Rosgwaen watching the dawn find the rain and the Sea. The two speak of names, mast trees, and forestry practices.

Follow Your Heart (IC)
An elleth of Mirkwood gets up the courage to come speak to its unpopular visitors.

The Wines of Mirkwood (IC)
A vintner's work must go on. Despite the ire of some of the Ndaedheldhrim over a Noldo's presence, their vintner, at least, has other priorities. He and Tatharwen talk shop while a small party tastes his wines.

Watched (IC)
The welcome of Mirkwood elves for Tatharwen and Fealos turns chilly in a hurry.

The Margin of a Shared Doom (IC)

Fanciful Enough (IC)
Poet Laesuliel and shipwright-turned-songwright Curanduil, meeting at the docks by starlight, improvise together to embellish an old Mithlond sea-chantey into a fanciful nautical ballad.

As a storm rages outside Misolosel Hall, the reader is privy to the harpings of two harpists and a harpmaker.

Snow and Song and the Dreams of a Land (IC)
Can a stubborn traditionalist, born in the changeless land of Lothlorien, come to accept the impermanence of a wanderer's life? And can one who has wandered since the Second Age come to accept him as anything more than an overprotected curiosity? Snow falls in silence, and a song is sung.

Each an Inspiration for the Other (IC)
Tales inspire deeds, and deeds inspire tales. Continuing from a conversation with the guardsman as they walk, the narfaron Aglarien relates to Rosgwaen the beginning of a story of the Havens.

What now? (IC)
For days and days, a group of mithlondhim are trapped at the Shaws. Once again, they will discuss what to do.

Dwarves are nice people. Elves aren't. (IC)
At least some elves, that is ;) And so it happened that an elleth asked for help to a dwarf (oh!), while her companion did his best to break her business.

A travel party goes wrong (IC)
And once again it is proved that, to travel through the Shaws, is not a good idea... especially if orcs and trolls are around.

Of Wolves (IC)
Rosgwaen brings Sidthoniel a poster warning of wolf sightings in the Shire.

Sidthoniel and Rosgwaen discuss familiar topics in a conversation about Lalwende and Aglarien.

No Mood for Pheasantries (IC)
The tale-hunter Aglarien seems to be in no mood for pleasantries as Rosgwaen returns to camp with a pheasant and begins to prepare it. Later, she tells him a tale of Ithilriel's distaste for sea urchin meat, and they discuss Menelyth's departure.

Hard Choices (IC)
Menelyth has left the travelling party. As the only warriors in the group, does it fall to Liramdir and Rosgwaen to return to the Shaws in search of her? What if that were to mean forsaking three others they see as in need of their protection? Some choices are not lightly made.

Rebuke, Contrition, and Yesterday's Stew (IC)
Over bowls of day-old stew, Aglarien gives a contrite Rosgwaen a piece of her mind regarding his actions in the recent near-deadly encounter.

Daggers II (IC)
Fresh from dagger practice, Tatharwen stops to talk to Lalwende before she is, ahem, distracted. (OOC note: This is the finishing bit of the dagger training log posted earlier.)

Coming to Grips (IC)
Teaching Menelyth a simple wrist-hold escape proves a more dangerous endeavor than expected-- and provides Rosgwaen a welcome (if temporary) respite from the recent troubles that weigh heavily upon him.

Pausing at the Crossroads (IC)
Tatharwen tells Rosgwaen that the flute she asked him to carve is not for an elf-child as he had assumed, but for a poor human girl. How deep does Rosgwaen's belief in uninvolvement with the Secondborn run? And will this serve to bring the tensions between Tatharwen and Rosgwaen to a head?

Outside of Time (IC)
The torches of the windowless Imladris armoury burn with no regard for time nor season. Here, the master healer Ailiell is sought by Rosgwaen, who asks for news of one from the Golden Wood. There are places in the world-- and quests-- that exist outside of time.

In Sun and Shade (IC)

The dagger and its carvings (IC)
Where we see elves testing their skills with weapons; sharp tongues and sharp daggers.

Getting tired (IC)
It all began as a nice meeting. Aglarien and Lalwende decided to breakfast, but the path to the Dinner Hall was long enough to draw a plan to help Sidthoniel, to witness a cold encounter between Tatharwen and Rosgwaen, and to teach the edhel a couple of lessons... perhaps one of them not of his likings.

An elleth's quest. (IC)
What? You had expected Lalwende would give up so easily to know what happened between Fealos and Rosgwaen? You expected very much.

Exchange of songs and questions (IC)
Rosgwaen sings. Lalwende sings. Ok, elves singing, it is not a big deal, is it? But if both of them are curious and one at least (Rosgwaen, of course!) hides so many things, noone will expect that the other (Lalwende?) won't try to know more...

Confidences at Dawn (IC)
A worried elleth leaves the Healers Hall, only to meet Fealos. After a long talk, Lalwende will head to her quarters more worried, even. Who said elves are happy?

Names are Arbitrary (IC)
Two wary wanderers (human Drystan and elf Rosgwaen) chance upon each other and refrain from exchanging names.

Choosing a Road (IC)

These Days (IC)

Madness and Rumors (IC)
Cloaked and hooded, Rosgwaen ("Beowick") meets a fellow who makes the rest of those "uncouth" humans seem positively refined by comparison. The mad vagabond Aiken speaks to Rosgwaen (and an imaginary wife) of a troll in the Chetwood, and an encounter with two other unusual travellers.
